Dr. Christopher Arena

Dr. Christopher Arena, MD

Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Arena is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon foot and ankle specialist. He completed his undergraduate education at Penn State University majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Bio-Engineering. He then completed his four-year Medical School training at West Virginia University where he earned a Doctorate of Medicine degree (M.D.). He then returned to Penn State University where he completed a 5-year Orthopedic Surgery Residency/Chief Residency. Following completion of residency training, Dr. Arena, completed an Orthopedic Surgery Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. His area of expertise includes foot and ankle Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy, foot and ankle trauma/reconstruction, treatment of foot and ankle arthritis, deformity correction, tendon disorders, toe deformities, hallux valgus (bunion deformity) correction, limb salvage as well as non-operative treatment of painful foot and ankle conditions.

Dr. John Hatheway

Dr. John A. Hatheway, MD

Interventional Pain Physician

Dr. John Hatheway is a fellowship trained specialist in Interventional Pain Medicine. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, he earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed an Internship in General Surgery and a Residency/Chief Residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Hatheway completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Rochester. He served on active duty in the US Navy for four years, part of which was spent overseas during Operation Enduring Freedom. He has practiced in his specialty for over 20 years.

Dr. Hatheway specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation and other advanced procedures. He believes in utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to Pain Medicine.

Dr. Hatheway lectures both nationally and internationally on topics in his specialty. In addition, he partakes in clinical research and has been an author on multiple clinical papers.

He and his wife, Kathy, have two grown children and enjoy living in the Inland Northwest. He enjoys hunting, flyfishing and traveling.

Dr. Jeffrey Lyman

Dr. Jeffrey Lyman, MD

Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Lyman specializes in the treatment of knee conditions and performs several orthopedic procedures. He completed his undergraduate work at Occidental College in Los Angeles and received his medical doctorate from the University of Washington. He completed his residency at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Other postgraduate training includes a knee fellowship at the North Sydney Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute in Australia. Dr. Lyman is active in the fields of medical research and innovation. He has taught national courses on computer navigation in knee replacement and has published papers in the fields of ACL reconstruction, cartilage injury, and tendinopathy.

Dr. Adam Olscamp

Doctor Adam Olscamp grew up in Bellingham, Washington. He did his undergraduate as well as Medical School training at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He then did his internship, residency and chief residency at the Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Adam Olscamp is board certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and is licensed both Idaho and Washington.

Dr. Olscamp is married to Stephanie, his wife, who is a local nurse practitioner and certified nurse midwife. They are the proud parents of 4 children. Dr. Olscamp has been a practicing orthopedic surgeon in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls for over 20 years. He is a Co-Owner, Co-Founder and current board member of Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, Idaho.

Dr. Darren Plummer

Dr. Darren Plummer is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, outpatient joint replacement, complex joint reconstruction, and revision surgery. His practice utilizes advanced surgical techniques and innovative pain management strategies, allowing for rapid recovery and faster return to normal activity for his patients.

Dr. Plummer offers his patients the latest cutting-edge technologies available, including robotic-assisted total joint replacements. He is trained in numerous surgical approaches for total hip replacements, including the direct-anterior, anterolateral, and posterior approaches. He also has extensive training in partial knee replacements.

Dr. Richard Lee Stowell

Dr. Stowell is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow conditions, with procedures including arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery. While minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopic procedures, and joint reconstruction are areas of interest, he also has an extensive practice in trauma and fracture management, as well as general orthopedic procedures.

After attending medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Stowell continued his training by completing both an internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. After graduation, Dr. Stowell completed a highly competitive and sought-after fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery.
